Some Inside Knowledge

Hi there and thanks for taking a minute to stop by. This first post is just to give you a little more insight into my life and my purpose of this blog.

Let's start with the purpose. Honestly, I am not completely sure. I think there are a lot of reasons really. I have always loved to write. I have written stories, poems and filled plenty of diaries and journals. I think it is a great way to express your self, heal, understand your own thoughts and use your imagination as well. I do have a flaw you could say that drive some people batty. See, I write like I talk. I am not big on writing 'correctly', I am big on writing comfortably. My comfort that is.

I have recently been blessed with the amazing opportunity to be a stay at home mom & wife. I am not sure how long this will last as I have always been a very busy woman, but I am learning to appreciate the quieter low-key side of life.

I have lots and lots of 'loves'. Jesus. My Family. Our Animals. All other animals. Photography. Crafts. Cooking. Traveling. Outdoors. Then others like Pinterest. I. Love. Pinterest. Pinterest literally covers all my loves above and more. I love making gifts for friends and family and things for my home. Or all the other wonderful things it teaches you - like recipes, advice on different ways to clean things, how to paint your nails and so many other wonderful and amazing things.

I recently left my job of 8 years since we relocated. I worked in the meetings and events industry with a great company. I have also dabbled in doing weddings, marketing, meetings & other fun creative things on my own. Im debating on pursing more of that here. First I need to learn the 'here and now' area :)

I currently volunteer for a wonderful organization called Care to Learn. I keep our chapters Facebook, Twitter, website, marketing and all other types of techie stuff up to date - along with the other hands on projects and fundraisers that come up. You should check them out at www.caretolearnfund.org.

My family and I recently relocated from the city to the country. It has been more of an adjustment for me than the others in my family. We went from one dog and 2 cats to 2 horses, 3 cows, 2 outdoor cats, 2 indoor cats, our dog and a fish. All within less than 6 months.... Which also leads you to the name of my blog.... Green Acre Livin' .. Thats exactly what we are doing.

Thank you for stopping by. I hope you like what you find here!
